At about 18.00 hours on 17.9.40 I left SAN MET (Long. 115o 25' E. Lat. 22° 46′ N.) bound for Hong Kong with a crevif

They searched the junk and then asked for ay licence, the sailors then returned to the cruiser giving me instructions that I was not to sail away. About two hours later a Japanese trawler painted grey, one funnel, no masts, arrived and when coming alongside collided with my junk damaging the stern of my junk. we were then taken in tow and the cruiser sailed away towards the south-east.
